Kortrijk Xpo has been the home of the Biennale Interieur since its first edition back in 1968.  This year the programme expands into the city of Kortrijk, but the Xpo fairground will stay a firm base with 300 carefully selected international design brands.  Within the context of the 2012 vision 'Biennale in the city, city in the Biennale', the map of the Xpo has been transformed into a city plan, with a grid of streets and diagonal lanes that lead on to piazza's where true city life will unfold.

Along the lanes and on the piazza's, visitors will be surprised and confronted with exhibitions and specially commisionned 'Future Primitives' project rooms, of which Nendo (JP), Muller Van Severen (BE), Studio Makkink & Bey (NL) and Greg Lynn (US) are housed in the Xpo.
